Director General Message

Dear Parents and Students, “In the Name of Allah Most Merciful, Most Beneficent… Who has taught man what he did not know…(Quran: Sura Al Alaq) In this communication, it is my pleasure to address the latest scientific, technological and educational advancements currently under way in the Emirates which are reflected in the methodology and approach to education at AL Nahda National Schools. As founder of Al Nahda Schools, I have been committed, from the time of its inauguration over thirty years ago, to the dissemination of the educational vision of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nayhan, currently making great advancements under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed AL Nayhan, both in terms of scientific developments and in terms of contribution to the nation’s cultural heritage. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice-president of the UAE, sustains all his efforts in the endeavor to stay abreast of current and future technological and educational systems, of thought and action. I must also mention the Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, with whom I worked in the Defense in my position as Director of the Military Schools. I am inspired as he forges all his effort in striving to lead major breakthroughs in the varied fields of industry, aviation, atomic energy and aeronautics. In brief, I wish to speak about Al Nahda National Schools’ contribution to the nation’s workforce. To date, Al Nahda Schools have graduated almost 6,000 students, many of whom have are in key positions serving the nation and the nation’s leaders. As the Hadith says, ‘Search for knowledge even if the knowledge is to be found in China.’ Our students have taken up appointments all over the world and have proven themselves successful wherever they go, in the exploration and the discovery of knowledge. In fact, one of our esteemed local students earned a renowned reputation for her expedition to the North Pole. Nowadays, the school population has exceeded 6500 students, I speak not to impress you, but to inform you about the truth of our realty. First and foremost, our priority is to provide quality education which we believe is given to you with the least financial constraint. Al Nahda School is currently the most well-established school in Abu Dhabi and is internationally accredited by educational authorities and at home enjoys national recognition with local and international educational institutions.
